This auction is for a Canon Digi Super 86II Xs HD Box Lens with a standard 2/3” B4 mount, making it compatible with virtually any Sony, Panasonic, Grass Valley, or Blackmagic URSA Broadcast HD and 4K camera.
The lens is in very good cosmetic and excellent working condition. Both the front and rear optical elements are clean and free of scratches, pits, haze, or other imperfections. With its fast F/1.7 maximum aperture, this lens gathers more light than many competing box lenses that are limited to F/1.8 or F/2.0.
The image stabilizer was disabled by the previous owner for an unknown reason. The lens otherwise functions perfectly and can be used like any standard non-stabilized box lens. When paired with a quality tripod head such as a Vinten Vector 70 or Vector 75, stabilization is generally not required.
The lens has been fully tested on Sony, Panasonic, and Blackmagic camera systems. Zoom, focus, iris, and extender functions all operate properly. Focus and zoom movements are smooth throughout their entire range with no sticking, jumping, or hesitation.
